Vision/Mission

VISION

Multiplying wholearted lovers to transform nations sealed with the Love of the Father, Word of Jesus Christ, and Power of Holy Spirit.

THE CALLING

The mission is two-fold:

  1. Transforming identity through seeking & revealing the knowledge of God in the place of worship.
  2. Commissioning radical lovers to bring  revival, unity, and works of mercy in the family, Church, & the harvest or unsaved.

You can co-labor with God to ignite orphans to become sons & daughters, slaves to friends, and the unwanted to Bride of Christ.  These become the burning ones sealed with the Great Commandment of Love and set apart for the Great Commission for the glory of God.

WHY?

“To open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.” (Acts 26:18;NKJV)

Some of the promises of God and His desires for all include that we would have the inheritance of:

  • Abundant life & joy in Jesus.
    • Billions of people today medicate pain and loneliness with excessive work, pornography, drugs, etc. Internet pornography accounts for the most revenue greater than the top technology companies combined, and about one in two Christian families consider pornography as a major problem in their home. Over half of the Promise Keeper men have viewed pornography in the past week.
  • Experiencing love & family in the Father.
    • Poverty is “the result of relationships that do not work, that are not just, that are not harmonious or enjoyable. Poverty is the absence of shalom in all its meanings” (Cobbert & Fikkert, 2009). Poverty is not rooted in lack of material items but it is rooted in broken identity or relationships with self, God, and others. Broken relationships lead to every types of crimes and abuse, including sex trafficking and mental disorder.
    • Alumni from the foster care system between twenty to thirty-three years old experience post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) twice as high as for U.S. war veterans, and one in four of these alumni (25.2%) experienced PTSD in the past year. According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the information clearinghouse that tracks missing child reports in the United States, 60% of runaways who are victims of sex trafficking had been in the custody of social services or in foster care.
    • There are about 1.2 million babies aborted each year in US, and 25 million are aborted worldwide each year. Their mothers face an 81 percent increased risk of mental health problems following an abortion, according to a 2011 study published by the British Journal of Psychiatry — a 110 percent increased risk of alcohol use, and a 155 percent increased risk of suicide.
  • Healing & refreshing presence in God.
    • Returning missionaries & leaders may have a safe place to receive healing and be refreshed in God.
  • Multiplying generational transformers.
    • 4/14 Window refers to the age group between four to fourteen that are most receptive to the gospel, and nearly half of the population within the 10/40 Window are children. The opportunities are enormous because 71% of Christians commit their lives to God before fifteen years old, though less than 5% of the Church today are giving time to help them.
    • The campuses of America represent the next generation of leaders and internationally. About 50% of them by 2020 will be the next generation in the work force.
    • 10/40 Window represents a geographic region that comprise of over 60% of unreached people groups.

HOW?

  • Establishing a place of perpetual worship & prayer where individuals can pray, receive prayer, worship, engage with the Word of God, be “refreshed from the presence of the Lord,” & learn how to operate in the gifts of Holy Spirit.
  • Training & empowering believers to teach and live out the Word of God while stewarding the gifts of Holy Spirit.
  • Expressing family and love through relationships at social events, group conferences, etc.

The Movement

THE MOVEMENT:

“My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.”

We are LoveHOP – Love House of Prayer – and we’ve been called to pray in Signal Hill for the Greater Long Beach Area.

We live in precarious times and events are unfolding at pace causing many to fear. In the midst of the shaking, the Lord spoke through Hosea 6:3 that says, “Let us know, let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like rain, like the latter and former rain to the earth.”

“My house shall be called a house of prayer?”  Is the house simply the church and those who attend it?

We believe that the Spirit speaks this word both to individuals and to corporate communities. Individually, each one of us is called to be a house of prayer, a secret place of sacrifice and intercession for the church and for the world. Corporately, when these individuals come together to seek God’s face and make Him known, they become a church. To each church community God gives a particular strength and calling, which are meant to be expressed in unity with other church communities in the Body of Christ. To fight for this, is to fight for the fullness of the revelation of Jesus Christ—to contend for love on earth! This is our vision as a corporate house of prayer, and as God gives us power to see disciples made, our land will go on from glory to glory—a reflection of heaven—as men and woman are saved, and brought together to seek the face of God in prayer and worship. We are believing for the nations to come to Jesus Christ as our inheritance as we are His.

Night and Day Perpetual Prayer/Worship Past & Today:

– 1000 BC: King David placed a tent on a hill for the Ark of the Covenant and established 288 prophetic singers and 4,000 musicians to “make petition, to give thanks and praise to the Lord” day and night. – 1 Chron. 15:1-6; 16:1-6; 23:5; 25:7

– 1727 AD: Count Von Zinzendorf and the Morovians: Within two weeks of an outpouring of the Holy Spirit, twenty-four men and women made a promise two pray around the clock with each taking one hour shifts, which continued for over 100 years and birthed what many Christians know today as the “Modern Missions Movement.” Their famous slogan as they gave themselves to missions birthed from prayer was, “May the Lamb that was slain receive the rewards of His sufferings.”

– 1973 AD: David Yonggi Cho established “Prayer Mountain” in South Korea with day and night prayer. In the book, “Prayer: Key to Revival,” Yonggi Cho says that the church that he oversees, which is the largest church in the world, can find its phenomenal growth rooted in prayer.

– 1999 AD: International House of Prayer in Kansas City, CA (IHOP-KC) officially launched day and night prayer making it the first 24/7 house of prayer in the United States. In November 2009, IHOP University experienced an ongoing awakening until 2010 that touched 6,000 people with testimonies of emotional and physical healing from all over the world, and they have had the privilege of baptizing over 1,700 people.

– 2009 AD: Love House of Prayer (LoveHOP) in Signal Hill, CA opened its doors for 24/7 prayer and worship. To know where we came from as a movement, you must look at the accounts of what happened at CSULB and its spiritual legacy.

The Call to Respond

We believe a global missions movement is being birthed out of Long Beach and the surrounding cities—one of the most ethnically diverse regions in the US. This will happen as we are unified together in Love and as we contend for the anointing of God’s Spirit to come and dwell among us in our cities. God has called us to Signal Hill, CA, as a beacon of His Great Love so that His glory might be displayed throughout the Greater Long Beach area and into the world.

We are motivated by the love of Jesus and to take His heart’s call for unity.  How can the world see the power of God in our lives when the church is so fractioned?

The time of disunity for Greater Long Beach is over, and the time of unity in the Love of God is here. Jesus said, “They will know me by your love.” For over five years, God has made it clear that He intends to birth something new, something profound and something that is globally significant here in Signal Hill.

One goal of LoveHOP is to call, gather, and assemble different churches, ministries, and fellowships together in Signal Hill and the Greater Long Beach area for 24/7 prayer and worship. We want to engage you in the calling of God and mobilize the Church for day and night prayer/worship to receive the vision for impacting the earth.

Will you join us in blowing the trumpet in calling believers to seek God’s face in Signal Hill? Will you help us build up this perpetual worship and prayer center for the sake of the global missions movement?

“On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have set watchmen; all the day and all the night they shall never be silent You who put the LORD in remembrance, take no rest and give him no rest until he establishes Jerusalem and makes it a praise in the earth.” -Isaiah 62:6-7

– “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” -2 Chronicles 7:14.

The Atmosphere

The Atmosphere:

LoveHOP is a community of believers that are called to commit to loving God, loving others, pursue infinite Love, and to establish a 24/7 house of prayer in Signal Hill City. We come corporately to fast, worship, and pray in the spirit of the tabernacle of David. We also commit to pursuing Love through preaching the gospel and bringing the Kingdom of God wherever we go. We passionately pursue to bring revival, reformation, and transformation within our spheres of influence that is stemmed upon the foremost pursuit of the Lord and partnership with Him.

WE DO THIS BY:

  • Training and mobilizing the royal priesthood in greater Long Beach City to live a life of Love, Word, and Power as they passionately pursue transformation in our God given spheres of influence.
  • Establishing a continual prayer and worship center in Signal Hill City by gathering corporately to fast, worship, and pray. We believe this is key to seeing revival, reformation, and transformation in our society when it is connected to the missions movement and social justice.
  • Implementing apostolic/missional interest teams that are driven with different focus that ranges from social justice work to seeing revival on our local campus. We receive the visions from the lifestyle of prayer, and we go out into the streets and other countries.
  • Being connected through friendships in the greater-move of God through kingdom-networking ministries.

LoveHOP Academy

LoveHOP has a desire to train all who are called to be radical lovers of God in the prayer movement. Whether one simply desires to understand the prayer movement, bring it back to your local congregation, or get more involved in the LoveHOP and the house of prayer movement on a state or national basis – you will grow in their faith and in the power of the Holy Spirit.

To that end, we have developed an academy designed for those with a call to intercessory prayer, to pray for revival, and to pray for their communities and local churches. The school emphasizes academic principles of God, and by hands-on training – provides an environment to experience the realities of God as witnessed in the Scriptures.

Teachings are integrated within the context of worship, prayer, and fasting. This culture encourages students to take leaps of faith where they are expected to stretch their faith and to grow in the knowledge of God.

Not only are Scriptures taught – but everyone is challenged to live it out.

Academic Overview
Dedicated to 24/7 prayer and equipping those called by God to leadership, LoveHOP school of ministry provides leadership training.

Academy instructors are taught by apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers (Ephesians 4:11-12). And, the academy seeks to develop a culture that integrates the realities of everyday life. Personal accountability is done in smaller group settings where transparency, honesty, and confrontations are done in Love.

We place a high value on love, living out the word of God, and learning how to walk in Kingdom power. Students are discipled on these principles. The following provides you a review of what this means for the academy.

Academy Structure

The academy is structured with two distinct tracks, or internship programs, that is coupled with Music Academy. The following is a brief description of each.

Fragrance of Love. (3 months)
For interns interested in leadership of roles to lead prayer, outreaches, and more. Candidates are assigned within the area of their calling. They are given hands-on training in prophecy, leading prayer, and deliverance ministry.

Radical Lovers. (6 months)
For interns interested in leadership of roles to lead prayer, outreaches, and more. Candidates are assigned within the area of their calling. They receive hands-on training in prophecy, leading prayer, and doing deliverances. Emphasis is placed on a love relationship with God and one-another. Training includes books and material based on love, word, and power. They include topics on intimacy with God, Song of Songs, holiness, prayer, Kingdom authority, and history of revivals.

Music Academy

This program in the internship gives you practical tools in how to worship God through musical instruments and your voice. Currently, we have teachers that can help you in piano, strings, guitar, and drums.

The internship goes through teachings on music theory (classical, contemporary- jazz & blues), playing music, and sound engineering.

This internship focuses on learning how to worship God through playing instrument and so it goes simultaneously with Fragrance of Love or Radical Lovers. If the intern has taken the internship before, he/she can apply for Music Academy without going through the same application process for the internship.

History: LoveHOP

Beginnings …
LoveHOP’s foundation and roots started in 2006, at California State University of Long Beach.

During this time a few students from a cross section of Christian clubs (Campus Crusade for Christ, Asian American Christian Fellowship, etc.) came together to contend for campus revival.

We held sacred assemblies (Joel 2:15) that called for all Christian clubs to come together to pray and fast for a spiritual breakthrough on the campus, for the Lord to send out laborers, for souls to be saved (Romans 10:1), and for a spiritual awakening that would transform not only the lives of the students – but the faculty, staff and employees campus-wide.

Love House of Prayer
On May 07, 2009, LoveHOP moved into its present headquarters, in Signal Hill and overlooking the City of Long Beach – where we continue to meet to contend for Love on earth. To know how LoveHOP came to be about, please read and watch the spiritual legacy of CSULB.

Our vision is to contend for Love on earth, and the spiritual and the physical welfare of our cities and nations.

Today, we believe our call is to call others for gathering and assembling the Church in the Signal Hill and Greater Long Beach area for the reality of 24/7 prayer and worship through relationships with churches, ministries, and fellowships.

Beliefs

WE BELIEVE:

– that the Bible is the word of God, and it is the final authority for all conducts of life and for instructions for our faith. (2 Tim. 3:16–17; 2 Pet. 1:20–21, 3:16; )

– there is one God in three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. (2 Cor. 13:14; Eph. 1:9–12, 4:4–6; Col. 1:15–20; Heb. 1:1–3; Rev. 1:4–6)

– that humankind was originally faultless when God created Adam and Eve, the first perfect union, but because of their disobedience and all of our sins, corruption entered the world and continues to destroy everything good. Sin separates us from God, leaving us already condemned in this present life, and destroys our relationships with one another. (Gen. 1-3:22; Ps 51:5; Jer. 17:9; Rom. 3:9-23; Rom. 5:12-21; Eph. 2:1–3; )

– that Jesus Christ is God revealed in human form, fully God and fully man; that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and offered Himself as a substitutionary sacrifice for sinners. The judgment of God fell upon Jesus, the perfect God and man. By His blood shed at the cross, He obtained for us eternal forgiveness of sins and life everlasting for those who make Him Lord and Savior through faith. He was raised from the dead on the third day, having victory over death, and ascended to the right hand of the Father. (Matt. 1:18-25; Jn. 1:1-18; Rom. 8:34; 1 Cor. 15:1-28; 2 Cor. 5:21; Gal. 3:10-14; Eph. 1:7; Phil. 2:6-11; Col. 1:15-23; Heb. 7:2-5, 9:13-15, 10:19; 1 Pet. 2:21-25; 1 Jn. 2:12)

– that salvation (healing of our soul, mind, and body) is God’s gift for us received through faith in Christ. No ordinance, ritual, work or any other activity on the part of a person is required in order to be saved eternally. This gift of God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, also enables us to do what is pleasing in God’s sight and walk in the nature of Christ. (Matt. 24:13, Jn. 1:1213, 6:37-44, 10:25-30; Acts 16:30-31; Rom. 3:4, 8:1-17, 31-39, 10:810; Eph. 2:8-10; Phil. 2:12-13; Titus 3:3-7; Heb. 6:11-12, 1 Jn. 1:7, 9)

– that the Church is the Body of Christ and each believer makes up a part of Him. The Church is God’s primary instrument through which He is fulfilling His purposes in the earth. God has given the Church apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers to equip the believers in every good deed of God for the sake of humankind. We also affirm the the importance of every Christian being joined with and actively involved in a local community of the saints. We believe that women, no less than men, are called and gifted to proclaim the Gospel and do all the works of the Kingdom. (Matt. 16:17-19; Acts 2:17-18, 42; Eph. 3:14-21, 4:11-16; 1 Tim. 2:11-15; Heb. 10:23-25; 1 Pet. 2:4-5, 9-10)

– that the believers need to seek to be filled with the Spirit of God continuously to bear forth the ways of our Lord, Jesus Christ, in love and to be a witness of God to those who are separated from Him by sin. (Mt. 3:11; Jn. 3:1–15; Acts 8:4-17; Acts 19:1-7; Rom. 8:9; 1 Cor. 12:12–13, ; 2 Cor. 1:21–22; Gal. 3:1–5; Eph. 1:13–14, 5:18)

– at Jesus Christ’s second coming, the Church will be resurrected from the dead to an inheritance incorruptible, enjoying eternal union with Him. Those living apart from God will be separated from everything that is of Him – a place meant for Satan, his angels, and those who love or do his deed(s) in eternal pain and suffering. (Matt. 5:22,29,30; Matt. 25:41; Mark 13:26; Luke 12:5; 1 Cor. 15: 35-56; 2 Cor. 5:1-10; 2 Pet. 4:2; Rev. 19:20; Rev. 21:8)

Apostolic Interest Team

picture
Rooted from a lifestyle of prayer, these missional interest teams are leaders (campus, school, work-place, church, media, art, etc.) that come together to see the Love of God established on earth as it is in heaven. They usually range from two people to twelve people that come to ENCOURAGE one another, impart VISION, and MAKE/ADMINISTRATE for the visions of God to happen. They are teamed together because of a particular desire or interest (establish prayer movement, restoring purity in the sex-trafficking world, establishing family for orphans, establishing churches through discipleship, etc.), and they meet at least every-so-often (weekly, bi-monthly, etc.) to plan for a holy take-over. For the friends of LoveHOP community, we share on how to do it with others, we connect Christians with similar interest, and/or we get involved. Majority of the times, we do all three.  ENCOURAGEMENT: PURPOSE: Build one another up in Christ. How to do it: Speak life, prophesy, call out the God in each other, thank each other, and/or honor one another or the whole team.  VISION: GENERAL VISION: contending for Love on earth.SPECIFIC VISION ACCORDING TO INTEREST: Create the specific vision but that is big enough to expand in at least four years.PURPOSE: Walk with one another in the path of Christ. How to do it: Share dreams, visions, strong impressions, Scriptures that speak to you, and/or prophetic words. It can also look like a rebuke (call to come back to the general vision) or a correction to come back to the ways of God. Recognize the witness of God or confirmations.  ADMINISTRATE: PURPOSE: Help each other accomplish the vision. How to do it: Plan for an event, gathering, meeting, or share upcoming events and how to get others involved that God has given a witness/confirmation to do. Figure out how to divide the tasks and help each other to do the task.RULE: Only administrate the witness that God has given to you in the visions.
