Lovely Thoughts

May you be strengthened in your faith unto God, and be powerful witnesses filled with His compassion!
Revelation 12:11 "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death."

(This is a very short teaching on the gift of prophecy. If you are confused with anything, feel free to ask any questions below. To learn more in depth about moving in it, register for LoveHOP Academy.)

In terms of "prophecies," remember to test words that have been shared. Not every word may be of God even if the person has a tendency to accurately share things that would witness in your heart. Usually, the words that are shared without any testimony or witness is not a word from God because Jesus says, "If I bear witness of myself, My witness is not true." If they are not, throw it away. At LoveHOP we place emphasis on the confirmations/witness that we have in the lifestyle of prayer with other believers as well, and we share these words publicly. We have more of an inclination to call it a prophetic word when there is a witness on it. (We do not call it a confirmation if one person hears someone sharing it and then had a vision of it.) The spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus Christ, and all the words are ultimately meant to lead us to worship God. Revelation 19:10 "At this I fell at his feet to worship him (the angel). But he said to me, 'Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers and sisters who hold to the testimony ofJesus. Worship God! For it is the Spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus.”

A good chapter to study about the gift of prophecy is 1 Corinthians 14. The gift does not substitute for godly character (1 Cor 13:1&2 2 "If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.").

1 Thessalonians 5 "19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not treat prophecies with contempt 21 but test them all; hold on to what is good, 22 reject every kind of evil" (NIV)

Prophecies will always have testimonies or witnesses in the new covenant church.

2 Corinthians 13 "1 This will be my third time I am coming to you. “By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established” (NKJV).

Discernment of the voice of God:
- Look for the witness of the Spirit. Jesus made a very bold and strong statement:
John 5: 31 “If I testify about myself, my testimony is not true." In the same way, the words of the Lord will always have witnesses. There are four types of witness shown in the Scriptures.
- John 5:31-47 (The Four-fold witness)
o Witness of the Spirit of God within you
§ The voice of the Father (John 5:37)
§ Is God speaking to you about it when you seek Him in the matter?
o Witness from other believers
§ The burning and shining lamps (verse 32,33)
§ Is there someone else godly that is saying the same thing?
o The greater witness than other believers: the person's works/deeds (verse 36)
§ 16 You will know them by their fruits.-Matt 7
§ The growth in their lives in God will tell you whether or not they are of God.

o The Scriptures (verse 39)
§ 2 Tim 3:16,17 “all scripture is given by inspiration of God… for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
§ Do not do anything that is against the character of God or the nature of God. He will never tell you to sin.
Moving in Kingdom Prophetic
- relationship with the Holy Spirit.
- ask Him to possess your soul (heart/mind/emotions) and your body.
· the mind for discernment/understanding/wisdom
· the "knowing"- (words of knowledge)
· the "hearing" - hearing the still-small voice or the audible voice of the Lord
· the "seeing" - visions/dreams
· the "feeling"- feeling God's heart for the people and for yourself.
- We need a generation that is not in it primarily for the giftings of God but a covenant-relationship with God.
- giftings are easily accessible but relationships take lifetime development.
- Why is the relationship with the Holy Spirit essential in building Kingdom prophetic?- John 14:"23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him."
- The indwelling of the Father and the Son is possible through the promised indwelling of the Holy Spirit (verse "17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you"), which was released in Acts 2 and at the time of our salvation (Eph 1:13)
-The purpose of the Holy Spirit: John 14:26 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
- Before Acts 2 all the way to Genesis, the Holy Spirit was dwelling AMONG us (Gen 24:3,* Ex 25:8 "And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.", Ex 29:45 & 46, Num 35:34, 1 Kings 6:13) and now He is IN us!
- We need to ask, "What is His word??" Jesus repeats it again directly in John 14:"21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” He talks about obeying His commandments again in verse 10.
- We want God to manifest Himself to us so we must ask, "What are His commandments?" to keep them.
- John 14 and 15 speaks of the importance of obeying the commandments and does not reveal what it is until John 15:"12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you." And He emphasized it again in verse 17.
- By obeying this ONE commandment, you will receive several promises: God will answer whatever you ask/desire (v. 7, 16, John 14:13), you will bear MUCH fruit (v. 8), you will abide in God's love (v. 10), your joy would be FULL (v. 11), You are God's friend (v. 14), and the final promise is that the world will hate you (v. 19). HAHA!!

Before we call someone a false prophet when their words have not yet come to pass, lets consider all of the prophecies that have not come to pass by the prophets written in the Scripture. For everything else and everything in between, love each other well.

The following words that the leadership and other intercessors have received in the house of prayer came from the place of prayer and seeking God's heart. We share them in our leadership meeting each week as part of our Apostolic Interest Teams. (For more information about our Apostolic Interest Team, click here: http://lovehop.org/about-us/the-atmosphere/apostolic-interest-team. The leadership team in this context of the writing is about building the vision and mission of LoveHOP.) I have chosen the following to bless and encourage the community and possibly others as well because they have confirmations for them.
