May you be strengthened in your faith unto God, and be powerful witnesses filled with His compassion!
Revelation 12:11 "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death."
Many prophecies from God made in our time are also meant to be fulfilled in our spiritual children or they are also for another generation. The prophecies that are given to us will be used as a sign to the future generations that will experience a deeper revelation and inheritance of that promise.
Consider Matthew 2 of the story of Rachel weeping for her children (Matt 2:18) and also the prophetic word about Jesus being a Nazarene (Matthew 2:23). In Rachel's time, she was actually mourning for her child (Joseph) that was supposedly killed (Gen 37:35; Jer 31:15) and yet during Jesus' birth, that word was used to fulfill the prophetic word that the male children two years old and younger would be slaughtered (Matt 2:16,17,18). Jesus was indirectly prophesied to be a Nazarene and yet the word was actually given to Manoah and his wife concerning Samson (Judges 13:5, 24).
The depth of the revelation and the fulfillment of the promises of God in our lives will carry throughout the generations to bless them with greater promises/inheritance that will affect nations. Proverbs 13:22 "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous" (NKJV). A seed of God's Word spoken into our lives that gets tested and fulfilled gets multiplied 30,60, or 100 times (Mark 4:8) from our present time when it is in the thoughts of God. The Spirit of God carries it through the generations and continues to fulfill it to a greater glory.
Jesus' birth fulfilled the prophetic word about the birth of Samson to Manoah and his wife and yet it was mentioned again in the Scriptures for another couple (Joseph and Mary) concerning their child. Even though I believe Joseph was not aware of the prophetic word about Jesus being a Nazarene, that did not hinder it from being fulfilled (Matt 2:23). In the same way, when we align ourselves with God and His ways, there are things happening in our lives naturally where we do not even realize that are being fulfilled to the spiritual mothers and fathers that have gone before us.
The condition that sets us into inheriting the promises of our spiritual mothers and fathers is not necessarily through the bloodline but it is carried through those that have similar hearts to the things of God, bearing forth fruits of righteousness and fruits of the Spirit. The Sadducees and Pharisees considered Abraham to be their father (Matt 3:9) but they lacked the faith in God and relationship with Him. They did not allow the power of God's Word to transform their hearts or lives that it was said of them, "Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance" (Matt 3:8; 2 Tim 3:5).
Be encouraged! Your small act of obedience to the Lord will affect nations and your life in God is part of a movement in the Body of Christ for His glory and our delight!
"And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise, God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us. Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
